Lake Wylie Kitchen with Custom Wood Hood Vent
Project Overview
Being DIY-ers, the homeowners regularly tackled small home improvements. For their kitchen, they sought our professional input to create their dream space. The previous kitchen felt outdated and confined. After discussing their goals, they expressed wanting to enhance functionality and aesthetics while preserving the home's original charm. We fully gutted the previous kitchen, removed the soffit and installed shaker white cabinetry to the new ceiling height. Every golden accent was intentionally placed throughout the kitchen to create an elevated design.

While designing the space, our client desired to preserve as much of the home’s natural charm along with creating more of an open concept. One of the ways we did this was by keeping the wood trim around the patio doors and the stone wall.
Create custom hood vent fillers for a fully finished look.
During hood vent installation, we noticed a lack of interior fillers. Our team located a suitable wood resembling the hood vent and stained it to complement the color. This played a significant role in achieving a polished and finished look for the hood.
