Project Overview

After researching some other builders in the area, these homeowners asked us to design and build their master bathroom. When they lived in the home for over twenty years, they felt that their existing master bathroom seemed very constricted and it didn’t work for them.

Aside from the layout being choppy and the storage lacking, the design of the bathroom itself didn’t feel as it reflected the homeowner’s personalities anymore. In this Charlotte master bathroom remodel, we transformed the entire space to create a modern, luxurious retreat. Our full remodel began with a complete demolition of the existing bathroom, allowing us to build a new custom layout tailored to the homeowner's needs. Some features of this master bathroom renovation include

  • A custom-built floating vanity paired with a sleek new quartz countertop
  • A spacious shower, featuring elegant tile installed up to the ceiling and enclosed with a new glass door
  • Replacing the old tiled-in jetted tub with a beautiful freestanding tub for a more open and relaxing atmosphere
  • Adding practical niches throughout the shower and bathroom for convenient storage and style
  • Installing a storage cabinet beside the bathroom entrance and a cabinet above the Japanese toilet for additional space-saving solutions
  • Improving the layout by closing off an existing closet door from the bathroom and relocating it to the bedroom for better accessibility
  •

The master bathroom was renovated in tandem with the kitchen and powder room, creating a cohesive design that carried their style seamlessly throughout the home.

Thank you! I really just love the new bathroom, especially the hidden outlets in the mirror. These are just the neatest things!

Challenges & Solutions

Challenge One

A last-minute issue arose with the top half of the tile. After install began, the homeowner felt the tones didn't complement the bottom tile under the newly renovated bathroom lighting.

Solution One

Our designer sourced additional tile options that complemented the different tones of the bottom tiles. After bringing them on-site to assess how they appeared under the new lighting, we identified one that the homeowner was pleased with.

Challenge Two

When the original glass for the cabinets doors arrived, they were oversized and didn't fit in their frames.

Solution Two

To resolve the issue, we ordered new glass pieces, but the supplier provided poor-quality glass once again. We then reached out to two different suppliers to ensure the problem was properly addressed.
